On a Sunny, unsuspecting afternoon, a couple of brewers at Erie were cleaning out the cooler and came across a lone, forgotten keg of Derailed Ale. The keg tag, long expired, crafted a curiosity in the brewers as they began to wonder what the aged cherry brew might taste like. Before they could talk themselves out of it, they were tapping the keg and pouring a pint. The tart and tangy flavors that were unleashed on their palate were too distinctly delightful not to emulate. The brewers put their heads together and began crafting a recipe to clone their delectable discovery. Several months later after weeks of tweaks, testing and tasting, the brewers proclaimed that the cherry bomb was ready to be dropped. And so it was. Cheers!
